Huisgenoot is milking the Ivan Botha and Donnalee Roberts “are they, are they not” dating situation :-). You can view all their previous covers and cover stories by clicking on their names.

But this issue is actually ground breaking…! Huisgenoot had to publicly apologize on their cover, and in the the issue, for publishing the name and picture of Don Steenkamp while he was still the a minor, and up for murder of his parents (14 November 2013 – see below). This was decided in the case Nadine Hamman vs Huisgenoot.

As part of their ‘punishment’, Huisgenoot had to publish the following on their cover…

… And they also had to publish an article about the ruling, what exactly happened… This was published even before the pages with the editors letter and reader letters, as a half page.
